The Bezel

The Bezel

.
The watch has two bezels. One outside, and one inner rotatable « reflector ». As explained before, this is the most readable and convenient variant possible for all the functions the watch possess. The outer bezel is made out of sandblasted PVD’d 316L steel, and has big square shaped teeth for easy grip.
The insert is made out of ceramic. A simple 1-12 numerals for the 3 hands model for those who prefer clean spaces, and a very complex and brand new design we invented for the GMT.

.
The bezel of the GMT is a  chef-d’oeuvre in itself. The white letters are engraved INSIDE, and the black letters are engraved AROUND. It’s the same « levels » mastermind idea as we used for the Dial, having HIGHER and LOWER elements.
The ceramic insert is thick to give a very « healthy » clicking sound.
Using a timing diver bezel to measure timezone is not practical at all. It’s like cutting a steak with your spoon, it can work but it’s no made for it. Having two "bezels" is more convenient and allows you to use all functions at once if necessary.
The outer bezel is not lumed, but the inner reflector has a low intensity colored lume. Focusing on daylight aesthetics we preferred to have the reflector with beautiful colors than white with better lume. After all, this is an ultra functional hybrid watch, not a tool diver with sole function to deliver great lume deep down there.
